Bego Riba

Bego Riba's work combines impeccable technical realism with an atmosphere of mystery and sensitivity. In her compositions, the human body appears veiled by fabric and soft light, transforming the everyday into something intimate and poetic. Her mastery of oil painting and other techniques such as charcoal and watercolor allows her to create scenes of great delicacy, where texture, light, and detail take center stage and evoke a quiet emotional response in the viewer.

Her often-anonymous figures evoke the duality between what is seen and what is hidden, inviting a slow and personal contemplation. Bego Riba finds beauty in the folds of fabric, the nuances of skin, and the simple objects that gain new life through her gaze. Each of her works is a visual exploration of intimacy and form an invitation to pause and be enveloped by the subtlety of her artistic world. Bego Riba was born in Burgos, Spain, and holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca (1996-2001).

Since 2003, she has lived and worked in Palma de Mallorca, where she continues to develop her artistic career independently, consolidating a distinctive language recognized for its elegance, depth, and visual sensitivity.
