Pere Bennàssar

Pere Bennàssar, an artist passionate about unknown geographies, seeks inspiration in remote places to escape routine. Since the 1980s, his exhibitions in the United States and Mexico have been successful. Travels through Europe and Asia have enriched his artistic perspective, especially his experience in the jungles of Indonesia, where he lived with the indigenous culture. He has spent considerable time in Morocco, exploring ceramics with Berber artisans. His work not only reflects these influences but also his commitment to local communities. Inspired by a long tradition of Orientalist artists, Bennàssar finds the essence of his work in collaboration with artisans and communal living.
