Sandra De Jaume
Sandra de Jaume is a Spanish artist born in 1978, residing and creating in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. In 2024, she participated in the "Miradas Femeninas" exhibition at the MEAM Museum and was present at Art Madrid 2023 through the Uxval Gochez Gallery.
In 2018, her work "Frida Kahlo con Flores de Okinawa" won the jury prize at The World of Frida, which allowed her work to be exhibited in more than 10 museums across the United States until 2022. Since 2013, due to her participation in events such as the "Pool Art Fair" in New York and the "Festival Miradas de Mujeres España (MAV)", Platform, and Arco Madrid, her art has been featured in group exhibitions worldwide, with presentations in cities such as New York, Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, Monte Carlo, Braga, Madrid, Barcelona, Toronto, Paris, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Texas, Mexico, among others.
Throughout her career, Sandra has received various international awards and mentions, in addition to the aforementioned The World of Frida prize. In 2023, her work "Vanitas" was included in the Special Figuratives Catalog of the MEAM (Museum of Modern Art) in Barcelona. She has also been awarded the Paris International Art Prize for her career at Art Shopping Louvre 2022 and received the "Art Revolution Taipei" prize in Taiwan in 2019, which included a solo exhibition at the Artist's Saloon in Taipei. Additionally, she has completed institutional portrait commissions, such as the controversial "Portrait of Aurora Picornell" for the Consell Insular de Mallorca.
